WOOD PLACE

c. 1820

Set in the rolling countryside of Louisa County VA, Wood Place is a charming historic farm house on 33.4 private acres. A large, two-story c.1820 frame structure built over a raised brick basement, Wood Place has tall freestanding, brick-end chimneys, six-over-six windows, and two matched front doors. The smaller story-and-a-half wing, which partially encloses the chimney on the left end of the house, appears to be a later addition. Over the years, Wood Place has had a dozen owners, and recent owners have made many improvements to the home.
