Bremo Plantation is a plantation estate that encompasses more than 1,500 acres. It was considered a National Historic Landmark in 1971 for its prominence as a well-preserved illustration of Jeffersonian architecture. In 1830–1831, the Fluvanna County Courthouse was constructed as a two-story brick structure in a tetrastyle Roman Doric temple, subsequently labeled as a National Historic Place in 1971.
