Overview

Virginia Historic Estates

In Virginia, the vast majority of historic homes are luxury estate estates with expansive lot acreage, a remarkable interior, and exterior design, and exceptional lot features such as extensive landscaping, ponds, running water, rear yards, and structures.

Estates are regarded to have symbolic relevance that can be traced back to an earlier epoch, which contributes to the rich character component that these properties have to offer. Consequently, these estate homes have been remodeled to incorporate more modern architectural aspects, such as shingled roofing, ornate ceilings, elegant hardwood flooring, ceramic tiling, a roomy eat-in kitchen with granite counters, and a splendid study with built-in shelves. There are several available estate properties in Virginia from which to choose, whether you like a home with extensive frontage or a house with abundant living space for your family. COLONIAL STYLE HOMES: The Colonial architectural style is used to embellish most of the estate homes in Virginia. A focused effort has been put into every aspect of the home, emphasizing symmetry seen by the grand entrances typically in the center of the house and adorned by an even number of windows and lofty pillars that yield a similar structure in the place. Colonial-style homes provide their homeowners with a sense of tradition, elegance, and exceptional luxury.

SPRAWLING LIVING SPACE: Estate homes are generally distinguished by the enormous interior quarters they provide to their owners. Expansive spaces around the house allow for more elaborate details in each room. Several estates are supplied with expansive family rooms that are elegantly furnished with an exquisite fireplace, chandelier, beamed ceilings, and hardwood flooring throughout the house. These residences also have private pools, made possible by the enormous outdoor space. Each section of these estate homes has been meticulously designed to provide its residents with a comfortable living space.

OUTBUILDINGS AND EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES: In addition to leading houses and outbuildings, most estates in Virginia are equipped with enormous enclosures that have been thoroughly refurbished to facilitate modest celebrations and family gatherings. Equestrian facilities are also available on these estates, including stables, paddocks, a derby field, an indoor arena with a retractable roof, an all-weather outdoor stadium, a lunging arena, and a polo field. These built-in amenities will undoubtedly impress not only purchasers who are looking for luxurious inside rooms but also buyers interested in outdoor recreation opportunities that are within the property acreage.
